
Rocky Brunty who is the current Federal Hocking head coach will be taking over as the head coach for the Copperheads during the 2024 season.
Brunty has an accomplished coaching career ranging at all levels. He currently has a total of 401 career wins as a coach at Federal Hocking. He has been voted as the TVC coach of the year 11 times, district coach of the year twice, has led his team to 13 sectional titles, 2 district titles, and 11 TVC MVP players as well as many other accomplishments. All of Bruntys' success at the high school level has led him to be a 2016 Ohio High School Southeast District Hall of Fame inductee.
Prior to Bruntys' success at the high school level, he also coached many different levels of play. He coached semi-pro at Herb Academy, spent 3 years as a American Legion Coach in Marietta and Belpre Legion, coached a little league team to a 61-9 record, as well as coaching 2 Athens County Senior League all-star teams.
Rocky Brunty is very passionate about baseball and the Copperheads. He worked for the Athens County Jobs and Services for 30 years, and during this time he was able to become familiar with the Copperheads and what they stand for. Brunty is excited to bring his knowledge of Athens and wants to be able to make an impact for the Athens community.
